Congratulations to Paris Mazzachi who was recently selected as a member of the 2009 Sub-Junior National Team. Paris and her team will travel to Queensland in July to compete against teams from all other Australian states. We wish her well with her preparation and competitions and are sure she will represent South Australia and Fun Star beautifully. Well done Paris.

Congtatulations to our beautiful Junior team who did a spectacular job in Ballarat at the Royal South Street Society Competitions. The girls and their families had a great time enjoying not only the competitions but also sightseeing & spending time exploring Ballarat together.

Our team were thrilled to be up there with the best Victorian Calisthenics has to offer & were honoured to have had our picture on the RSSS website & in the local Ballarat Newspaper.

What our girls had to say about their first trip to Ballarat.......

' I had a great time in Ballarat. The team went to a Wildlife Park and Sovereign Hill. The day before we competed in the Royal South Street Competition against 7 other clubs and the most exciting thing I experienced there was that we could get to make new friends very easily because we got to swap club badges. We flew to Ballarat and my favourite part of the whole trip was getting to go to the Wildlife Park and getting to spend some time with my team.' Radhika

'In October 2008 our team flew to Ballarat for the Royal South Street calisthenics competitions. It was the first time for all of us and we were all very excited about going and competing in Ballarat. The competitions were very different to what they are in Adelaide so it was a completely new experience but we all had a great time and we learnt a lot as well. When we were on stage at the comps we tried our best and we ended up with great results. The day after competitions we went to the Ballarat Wildlife Park and Sovereign Hill. It was heaps of fun! Going to Ballarat with my team was lots of fun and a great experience because I hadn’t done something like that before and I enjoyed having heaps of fun with my team!' Anna

'It was really fun having the experience of competeing against people from other states. I enjoyed the plane trip over, it was really exciting being on a plane without my family. The best bit was that we got our photo taken and it was in the Ballarat paper.' Tansy

'Going to Ballarat was a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent my club and compete in another state. The competitions were held at Her Majesty's Theatre Ballarat. It is an old theatre like the Royalty. Each team had their own dressing room so we visited other teams and swapped badges. It was good to meet girls from other clubs. We visited the Wild Life Park and Sovereign Hill and I had a lot of fun with the girls in my team. Performing at Her Majesty's Theatre was the best experience in my seven years in calisthenics . I had so much fun on my trip and I hope we can go again.' Grace
